The problem
Farmers in rural areas don't use accounting apps: the barrier to entry is high and connectivity is intermittent. But almost everyone uses WhatsApp. The challenge was to capture income and expenses where people already are, without asking them to learn a new tool.
The approach
We brought financial logging to the channel they already master. The user sends a message (typed, a voice note, or a photo of a receipt) and an AI model interprets it, classifies the movement and stores it. The system absorbs the complexity; the user just writes.
What we built
- Bot on Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API, with no middlemen.
- Voice-note transcription and receipt-image reading.
- Automatic AI classification of income and expenses by category.
- Natural-language summaries and queries from the same chat.
The result
A financial assistant that feels like chatting with someone, not filling in a spreadsheet. It drops the barrier to zero: if you can send a voice note on WhatsApp, you can use it. Client withheld under NDA.
